Hi, I’m Lauren!
Conscious biz owner,
SEO consultant,
website copywriter.

Wanna work together?

Copy by LP is where compassion meets strategy.

I help your values jump off the page with SEO services & website copywriting for small biz and small sustainable biz’s.

Because content marketing shouldn’t feel icky. And it doesn’t have to.

Words are powerful - that's why I became a copywriter for conscious & sustainable businesses. Let's use the power of copy for good!

Our online world is degrading our ability for compassion & empathy yet those are the experiences people are seeking the most — that’s why I became “an SEO”.

these are my words for you:

Climate change is freaking scary.
  • It’s scary that people don’t believe in it
  • It’s scary that people don’t care
  • And it’s scary that the loudest people online are ‘intentionally’* stigmatizing it and degrading trust in the science.

So, you, like me, have chosen to take the power into your own hands. If governments aren’t going to propel sustainability then we will.

My way of making the world a better place is by making the internet a better place.
  • By helping cool people who want to build a healthier future.
  • By letting empathy and kindness lead.
  • By letting people show up as their true authentic selves and turning that into something that will resonate, and can be shared with others.

*my opinion

The other day a client told me I needed to put this on my website. She is a solopreneur (doing something cool and sustainable) and told me it is such a relief and a gift to have someone else thinking thoughtfully and strategically about her business.

She said — “Working with you is like having a friendly conversation with someone who cares about my success.”

I'll leave you with this.

And I think that’s kind of beautiful.

I purposefully keep sustainability vague in my job title because it means two things and serves every version of you coming to my website!

why sustainability?

Sustainable in the sense that we’re doing something good for people and planet, making our small attempt at leaving the world better for those who come after us.

Sustainable in the sense that the strategies we’re using for your small business are not based on passing trends and crazes but long-term, steady growth that will continue to benefit you over time.

This is why my worlds intersect at small business & sustainability.

Small, sustainable businesses, let’s chat: You know how hard it is to get the right tone. You want to be friendly, but firm. Educational but not preachy. Inviting, not exclusive.

But time and time again I see you also not wanting to call yourself sustainable. I know why but I need to tell you right now — that is exactly WHY you should be calling yourself ~sustainable~. Because we’re all learning!

And if you’re not going to do it, the greenwashers are going to do it. It’s better that you do it now, do it messy, and do it with your best effort. Besides, we have copy and blogs to explain all the minute details!

And small businesses: Whether you call yourself sustainable or not, by nature of being a small business you are sustainable. You’re hiring local, paying livable wages — not just fair wages, you’re investing in the local economy, and you support other small business owners. You’re doing something for the good of people. And I think that’s kind of beautiful.
